WrEsTlE-MaNiA!

Six weeks ago we signed Henry up for pee-wee wrestling. He has practice twice a week and last month he went to his very first tournament. His first match was over in about 30 seconds. He got pinned faster than he could blink. He was pretty upset about it. After he calmed down, he told me he was NEVER going to get pinned again, and he meant it. His next match was much more successful. He lost, but only by a few points. When the match was over his opponent said he was "really slippery". It was true. Henry can escape any hold, he just can't do anything else yet. We're working on it. He's just about mastered the Half-Nelson on Clyde, who luckily just goes limp and laughs. Clyde thinks wrestling is totally hilarious. Stay tuned for more photos.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a fun affair this year, complete with pumpkin patches, carnivals, and cousins. Henry of course had to go as a ninja, since his greatest dream in life is to be the American Ninja Warrior. (I see Mount Midoriama in our future...) Clyde wore his Lightning McQueen costume from last year for his Kindergarten class party, but he wouldn't wear any costume at all for trick or treating. We talked him into a Halloween hoodie, but that was all he would wear. It is hard for him to wear costumes. I think the masks and extra clothing make it too uncomfortable for him with his sensory issues. It was still lots of fun for everyone though! Scott's brother Jon and his two kids came down from the Tri-Cities to go trick-or-treating with us, so of course Grandpa and Grandma Harker came too. They had to witness all the grandkid cuteness in person!

Look at those silly kids! If you're wondering, Henry gets those sweet moves from me.

We tried for a Harker photo, but everyone was too wiggly. This was by far the best shot.

Later we met up with our friends the Rowley's to let all the kids play at the Inflatable Fun Gym. The kids had a great time eating pizza and jumping.

Happy Halloween from the Harkers!
